Made in the Middle 1988
The very first Made in the Middle exhibition (previously titled West Midlands Crafts Open) was held in 1988. This proved to be the beginning of a legacy which has bridged four decades. Representing makers from the West Midlands, the range of work on display highlighted the finest crafts from the region. This first show set the precedent and quality for this open, cross discipline touring exhibition.
